We work closely with the plants from beginning to end. The LAVANA project began six years ago with a small plantation of 1,000 lavender plants. The plants are harvested by hand every year and then distilled into floral water and essential oil. This led to our first product, the Wild Night Body Oil that captures the essence of LAVANA, a deeply nourishing lavender body oil concentrate blended with nutrient-rich organic plant oils.

Further research into phytocosmetics and wild seasonal plants from the Mediterranean and High Pyrenees led us to start growing more of our own plants to use in the laboratory so that we we can really stand by our principles of local, potent, traceable raw ingredients. There is more to come!

We are proud to be part of the Slow beauty movement, one that has to do with moments of ritual, respecting the rhythm of nature, smelling, breathing and massaging. We call our oils ritualized oils because in their preparation the lunar phases are followed and we ensure that the product has been exposed to the sun and the moon at least one moon cycle. Ritual is one of the oldest and most universal forms of human expression in the world. It engages us with forces both seen and invisible and helps calm frenetic minds. Where nature and ritual meet is a place of peace.
